Are you looking to sell your product or service through a blog or social media?  Then a blog campaign incorporated into Social Media is the best place to begin.  However, simply posting your company blogs to all your social media accounts; Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. is only part of the solution to gain fans and traffic.  As you create blogs that educate and conclude with a question, you can cause readers to engage by making comments and voting on your writing.

A blog (a truncation of the expression web log) is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of discrete entries (“posts”) typically displayed in reverse chronological order (the most recent post appears first).

Nevertheless, the ability to attract social media fans relies on your ability to create quality content that is both engaging and informative.  Once you have such content, you can easily create a blog that may become the perfect solution for building an audience to promote your product or service.  The blogging process is simple, limiting yourself to 300-500 words, you could create a blog that is informative, educational, have a unique style, and can be humorous.  But keep in mind, this is not a direct selling tool; your copy (blog writing), combined with Social Media, is only the attention getter.

The Blog Benefit

In basic terms, a Blog integrated into your Social Channels will form a special bond that may be used to act as a lead generating tool.  Not convinced?  Well, studies show that over 60% of companies that blog acquire more customers from leads generated by their writings.  Additionally, each year small businesses spend over 20% of their marketing budget on Social Media, but medium to large sized businesses will only spend 10% because of trade shows and outbound strategies.

The takeaway here is that if you want more visitors, social fans, or customers, do you best to blog.
